The ION-MPIBC Joint Symposium on Neuroscience was held from July 30th to August 1st at the Institute of Neurosciences (ION), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS). Seventeen researchers from the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics, Germany (MPIBC), and more than 100 researchers from ION attended the symposium. The symposium aims to enhance communication for scientific research between ION and MPIBC.
Director Poo Muming of ION gave an overview introduction of the institute, as well as future development plans for the International primate center which is currently under construction.
The researchers from both sides then reported their most recent findings mainly in the field of perception and awareness, neuroimaging and brain disorders. They also conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions, as well as their research interest. On August 1st, researchers from the MPIBC visited the related laboratories and the G60 Brain Intelligence Innovation Park.
This symposium provides scientific researchers with opportunities for sharing of scientific research achievements, and promotes international exchanges and cooperation.
