CAS-UNSW Workshop on Neuroscience held in Shanghai

  The CAS-UNSW Workshop on Neuroscience was held from July 23rd to 24th at the Institute of Neurosciences (ION), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS). Seventeen researchers from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), and more than 30 researchers from CAS attended the workshop. The workshop aims to enhance communication, and to build a cooperation platform for scientific research between CAS and UNSW.

  

  Professor Ana Deletic of UNSW and Director Poo Muming of ION gave an overview introduction of each institution, as well as future development plans and willingness for cooperation.

  

  The researchers reported on their research interests and recent findings. They conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on basic neuroscience/biomedical engineering, mental illness and addiction, ageing and cognitive impairment. After visiting the related laboratories, the researchers came up with a number of projects with potential for collaboration. 

  

  

  

  

  This workshop provides scientific researchers with opportunities for dialogue and sharing of scientific research achievements, and promotes international exchanges and cooperation.
