The 2015 ION Annual Meeting was held at the SIBS Lecture Hall from December 28th to 30th,2015. During the opening remark of the meeting, Prof. Mu-Ming Poo gave discussed recent development in the CAS Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology, and in the Joint Clinic Research Center on Brain Disorders between ION and Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine.

　　Fifty-five ION researchers, including graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and research associates, presented their recent works. New faculty members, Drs. Hua-Tai Xu, Kai Wang and Li-Ping Wang introduced the research directions of their respective laboratories. Drs. Qiang Sun and Neng Gong reported their interesting findings on primate research. Dr. Qian Hu introduced the equipments and services of the Optical Imaging Facility. Before the end of this meeting, Prof. Poo gave a talk entitled “Brain science research in China”.

　　The prizes for the best five presentations were awarded to Han Hou (first prize, Yong Gu’s Lab), Bai-Bing Zhang (second prize, Jiu-Lin Du’s Lab), Han-Fei Deng (second prize, Zuo-Ren Wang’s Lab), Xin Jiang (third prize, Jin Xu’s Lab) and Dan-Qian Liu (third prize, Mu-Ming Poo’s Lab).
