On October 8^th and 9^th, the 2014 Joint Meeting of State Key Laboratory of Neuroscience (SKLN) at ION and State Key Laboratory of Molecular Neuroscience (SKLMN) in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology was held at the Institute of Neuroscience.

　　Professors Nancy Ip, Zhang Mingjie, Karl Herrup, Wen Zilong, Liu Kai, Hyokeun Park from SKLMN, and principal investigators from SKLN attended the meeting. This was the third joint meeting since the two laboratories signed their cooperation agreement in 2009.

　　Researchers who were attending the meeting for the first time introduced themselves. Then, nine researchers presented their latest research results in the fields of molecular neurobiology, developmental neurobiology, systems neurobiology and neurological diseases.

　　Finally, the two laboratories discussed how to strengthen cooperation in the future and reached consensus. The two laboratories would exchange graduate students for learning new techniques and better identify areas of common interests. The 2015 joint meeting was planned for Shenzhen, and postdoctoral fellows and graduate students of SKLMN would be invited to attend the meeting to further exchanges.
