On September 26^th, 2014, Dr. Xiang Yu (Institute of Neuroscience, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, CAS) was awarded the Shanghai Outstanding Young Scientists Award (Basic Research) for her research on the activity-dependent neural circuit development.

　　The Shanghai Outstanding Young Scientists Award was established by the Shanghai Government and Shanghai Association for Science and Technology. It is awarded every two years to a maximum of ten young scientists in natural sciences and its applications.
