From May 30th to June 2nd, ION held a retreat for its 973 Program "Plasticity in Brain Structure and Function" in Xiamen. Fifteen PIs in the program presented their research progress during the retreat.

On May 31st, ION Faculties visited Xiamen University. Drs. Qiao Wu, Jian-Wei Shuai, Jia-Xing Zhang, Dong-Hui Guo from Xiamen University and Drs. Zhen-Ge Luo, Xiao-Bing Yuan, You-Sheng Shu, Zhi-Qi Xiong from ION presented research progresses in their respective research directions.

Prof. Mu-Ming Poo gave a lecture entitled "Development and Maintenance of Neuronal Polarity" at the Xiamen University School of Life Sciences.
