On December 3, 2021, the fifth academic report of the Online Seminar Series was successfully held. The Online Seminar Series are initiated by the Seminar Committee of Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology (CEBSIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences, and sponsored by Neuroscience Bulletin.  

　　Professor Nuo Li from Baylor College of Medicine was invited to this Online Seminar, which was hosted by Dr. Ninglong Xu, the principal investigator at CEBSIT. More than 60 researchers from the Center participated, and about 70 people from home and abroad attended the seminar online. 

　　The Nuo Li lab is focused on understanding how neural circuit dynamics in the brain give rise to behaviour. The report of Professor Li was " Neural Mechanisms of Volitional Movement", which introduced the preparatory activity which triggers volitional movement, and neural mechanisms involved in this activity.  

　　This Online Seminar attracted lots of young researchers in the field and deepened the mutual understanding of various research divisions.
