On Oct 12th, 2016, Dr. DU Jiulin (Institute of Neuroscience, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, CAS) was awarded the 11th Shanghai Peony Award for his research on the studies of neural circuit mechanisms underlying visuomotor transformation and adaptive behavior generation, and molecular mechanisms underlying brain vascular development.
The Peony Award was established in 1994 by the Shanghai City Council to encourage basic research in mathematics & physics, chemistry, information technology, material sciences & engineering, biology & agriculture, medicine & pharmacy . It is awarded every two years to a maximum of six young scientists with exceptional contributions in the above-mentioned fields and working in the city of Shanghai.
