The laboratory of Dr. Henry Evrard at the International Center for Primate Brain Research (ICPBR), part of the Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shanghai, invites applications for a highly organized and enthusiastic Personal Assistant and Lab Manager.
About the Lab: Dr. Evrard’s research focuses on exploring the intricate relationship between the body and brain, specifically examining how subjective emotional experiences emerge and contribute to self-awareness and consciousness. Our lab maintains dynamic collaborations with leading institutions worldwide, particularly across Shanghai, Europe, and the USA.
Position Description: The successful candidate will ensure efficient logistical and administrative management of the lab, including but not limited to:
· Coordinating administrative tasks to ensure smooth lab operations
· Serving as a liaison with local administrative offices and external collaborators
· Assisting with grant applications, submissions, and follow-ups
· Welcoming and providing logistical support for lab members and international visitors
· Overseeing and managing general lab logistics and inventory
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biomedical Sciences, Psychology, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
· Fluency in Mandarin and English (speaking, reading, and writing)
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within local and international environments
· Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
· High ethical standards, integrity, and social intelligence
· Proficiency in standard office and computer software applications
